Youth Group Fellowship Gatherings

All are welcome to our Youth Group fellowship gatherings each Thursday night in DeLuca Hall from 7:00-9:00 PM!

Do You Enjoy Playing Cards?

If so, we would like to have you join the NAM sponsored card flights. We are now in the process of organizing the flights which resume in September. We currently have openings in ladies Pinochle; ladies and couples/mixed 500 and ladies Bridge. It is a very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon or evening and a nice way to meet new people. If you have played with us before, why not consider joining us again and renew “old” acquaintances. For further information on Pinochle and 500 contact Evie Welsh at 412-372-2123; for Bridge contact Marilyn Murray at 412-372-0772.

Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)

CLOW is in need of volunteers to share the Word of the Lord with the children of our Parish during the 11:00 Mass. The Leader and the children leave the church before the Liturgy of the Word begins and congregate in DeLuca Hall to break open the Word of God. Materials are provided prior to your scheduled day. The schedule is done in two to three month intervals. The leaders are usually scheduled once a

month as long as we have enough volunteers to rotate. Please consider sharing your faith with our 4 year old to 1st graders during the Mass. If interested please contact Cindy Capell who is in charge of the scheduling at capellfamily@verizon.net.

Safe Environment

In accordance with the Diocese of Pittsburgh Safe Environment Policy ALL volunteers must be compliant in order to volunteer in ANY capacity within ANY group in the parish. Contact me at the number above for details. If you are a NEW volunteer, and if you have not already done so, take a yellow volunteer envelope which can be found in the main vestibule of the church, the entrance of the school and outside of DeLuca Hall. Complete and return the necessary forms. Once you have attended a Protecting God’s Children Workshop, you are not required at this time by the Diocese of Pittsburgh to update or attend the workshop again. As always we are so very Blessed to have such dedicated and wonderful volunteers here at North American Martyrs Parish and we appreciate you sharing your faith, time and talents to make our Parish Community strong and vibrant.

Youth Mass

THE YOUTH MASS is held once a month. This is a great opportunity for the children of our Parish to participate as Lectors, Ushers, Greeters, and Gift Bearers. Please contact Cindy Capell at capellfamily@verizon.net to sign up and be a part of this wonderful Ministry. All are welcomed!

Seeking Volunteers

Pitcairn Meals on Wheels needs volunteers. Volunteers work approximately 3 to 4 hours per day, usually from 7:15 to 11:00 AM and can choose to work one day or as many as five, depending on what their schedule allows. Right now, Meals on Wheels is looking for a cook for

Mondays and Thursdays. Cooks do not have to be professionals, but they should be comfortable cooking for a large number of people. Also needed is dining room help. These volunteers assemble and pack the meals for delivery and help with kitchen clean-up. If you would like to

volunteer, please call Michele at 412-527-3914 or Patti at 412-856-7294.

CCD Classes - Help Needed

WE ARE IN NEED of High School Students to volunteer as aides and assistants for CCD classes. This is a great opportunity to share your talents with the children of the Parish. If you are in need of service hours please consider volunteering. We are so very Blessed to have dedicated and faithful volunteers that serve as catechists, aides, subs and hall monitors every Wednesday evening, giving up

their time and sharing their faith with the children of the Parish. Thanks to all who help keep our Religious Education Program alive and vibrant!
